The Turin Charter
According to the Statures of the Cyprus Federation of Classic Vehicles (OKAK), one of the main objectives is "the continuous effort to promote in every way, the idea to protect, restore and use of old cars and motorcycles as well as any other type of old self-propelled vehicle in land, sea or air."
Historic vehicles are important as a means of transport, but also are part of our cultural and technical heritage. The scope of the Turin Charter includes mechanically propelled road and non-rail land vehicles. A vehicle is considered to be historic once it complies with the Charter and the applicable FIVA definitions. The Charter may also include buildings and related artefacts to historic vehicles and their period of operation, such as factories, fuel stations, roads or racetracks.
